Born from the grip of sleep paralysis, Sex Demon emerges as a fetishistic creature of the night: the embodiment of suppressed desire and the terror of surrender. It is the demon that silences, the force that tempts, the shadow self that demands release.

This visceral fetish-burlesque performance explores the intimacy of fear and longing — confronting the dark demon of desire to reveal what lies beneath the mask.

Debuted at Sky Sirens’ “Glory Box” in December 2018, Sex Demon has since haunted and enthralled audiences on stages across the world, including Sydney’s iconic Hellfire Club, Whoop De Doo Revue, and the Australian Burlesque Festival’s Noir Exotique in Melbourne (2019). Alyssa Kitt has also brought this act to Brisbane Powerhouse’s Wonderland Festival as part of the acclaimed riot grrrl strip club Baby Got Back (2019), as a cast member of Cirque Songstress’ Wonderfully Terrible Things at Sydney’s Vanguard Theatre (2020-21), the New York Burlesque Festival (2021), and Dr Lucky’s Neo: Striptease as Transformation at Coney Island USA’s Sideshow by the Seashore (2021).
